when will you graduate? if you ever have questions about teaching, or if you end up doing anywhere from 8-12 ELA, i still have tons of english and AVID stuff i probably won't ever delete. my sister has a ton of english stuff too. most of my AVID stuff you can get from their website, and it's not just good for one class; you can use it to teach collaborative learning, socratic seminars, effective note taking strategies, etc.
the getting married thing hasn't turned out as fabulous as i imagined, but i suppose if it's worth it, blahblahblah. i'll let you know about the kid ;)
Sorry I haven't responded I have been going insane with business... I'm only at home to sleep lately it seems due to summer school. If all goes well and no other natural disasters occur, I will graduate next summer. I start my first semester of student teaching in the fall. I am totally teaching english 8-12 so any resources you have I would greatly appreciate... I'm a little nervous about it because I don't want to get broken down by bad students and what not. How do you manage your class? Who gives you the material you need to teach? Is it TEKS or TAKS based, or both??
I think I'm really interested in teaching globally, like online. I really think there is something to that-like maybe co-teach my class with a class in a third world country, or china, or australia. is your phone number still the same? xo

front-leading the organization was the key to keeping my sanity. it is tough, especially those first few months, but some kids are just not going to do any work and you can't allow that to bring you and the majority of your other students down
