Help with shopping

I've been roped into going to a military academy ball with a family friend in December. Since I'm now 23, I really don't want to wear my old prom dress, as economical as that may be. So I would like to get a new/different dress. For as little money as possible ( Read more... )

As far as going with the shoes, deep reds and blacks would go well. Try thrift stores, I've found some great stuff siting on the rack at old thrift stores.

Ooh, awesome shoes. I'd wear a contrasting color personally, but not something so bright that it would take away the "surprise" from the shoe color. Navy? Purple?

The Goodwill downtown is amazing. I was there last week, and there were a number of really nice dresses that were still fashionable. I've also heard the one up in Ballard is good. Sugartown Vintage (also in Ballard) is really great (albeit more expensive than Goodwill). It's easily better than the vintage stores on the Ave.

Or, I'd also just try going into Nordstrom Rack. You never know.
