Jan 04, 2004 22:31

Turns out, I went on AIM and found one of my Army buddies that I met in Ft. Stewart and became good friends with today. She was telling me I needed to read her LJ so I decided to update mine for the first time since I got back from being overseas.

Also learned today, My best bro from overseas finally updated his journal.

Hello my new friend! funnybrickjoel May 16 2004, 22:34:56 UTC
Hi there john,
You don't know me, obviously, but we both mutualy know somebody. We're connected by 6-degrees so to speak. I was browsing a friends list of friends, and I clicked a name, and then another, and then another. I went through a lot of people I don't know untill I got to you. I don't know why I picked you, maybe because you were the first person without anime for your image, maybe cause your trying to sort out the world, probably just random chance. Doesn't matter cause I'm befreinding you sir. I take it you, and/or your family is in the military. How is that? Mind telling me what sort of duties and department you work for and are charged with? Also have you played air hockey recently, I find it immensly entertaining and recomend you play it at your earliest convience. This is a serious post, so please, post a serious reply.

Your new friend,
joel

Im actually curious, what "mutual" friend do we have? Or should I say, what friend of do you know. I'm actually quite clueless. :)

In any case. I would love having a new friend. Hell, I need as many of those as I can get.

It turns out that I knew (sadly) James Paisley(lettheworldslip) who knew a-cha (whomever she might be) who knew Chris (zengyro) who knew you (silentjon). And so, we find the super secret story behind the super short correspondence of you and me.
