If you wish to dwindle and suffer here, then be my guest - that is your prerogative. Most people have given up and dictated this to be nothing more than a hellish universe. I find there is more to that.
If something has that much power that it can absorb the abilities of every man, woman and child here, then there is knowledge to be gained by that alone. That much power, that much energy - it could prove a good resource at the end of the day.
Sadly, most of decided to die here. It is trite, a waste of an existence. But I suppose that is just nature weeding out people - breaking their spirits, shattering their hopes. It is brutal, I suppose, but it is just natural. If you want to live, rise above it. If you don't, I am sure someone here won't mind building you a grave.
Abilities? What do you mean? [since she doesn't have any abilities she doesn't know about the powers draining]
[she laughs humourlessly] I've rebelled before. The only thing I got from that was the near death of my friend. [but Rakka had believed in her. She had saved her... She frowns at the word 'grave'. Would she really just give up after it all? Would she let Rakka's efforts be in vain? She's silent for a while]
...what do you propose, then? [her voice is slightly stronger]
This could all be a freak accident. But in my experience, where magic of the calibre it took to summon so many people here is involved...There is almost always someone behind it.
You will have to ask the machinator, then. I can't fathom their motives, but they must be in dire need of whatever we have to offer.

But it doesn't bother me much.

That's...unusual. Normally people will feel terrified or sick in a place such as this.
