History:Supernatural starts with the death of Mary Winchester, the boys' mother. She dies in a house fire, caused by a mysterious demon with yellow eyes. John Winchester, Sam and Dean's father, takes it upon himself to hunt for this demon and avenge Mary. Both Sam and Dean are raised as warriors against the supernatural by their father, until Sam reaches the age most boys go to college. As such, Sam leaves to go to college, and is out of Dean's life for two years, until one day John goes missing. Worried, Dean drives to California, where Sam is, and convinces him to leave and help him find their father. Sam is reluctant at first, since he's got a girlfriend and a steady life, but he goes along with it, provided that Dean gets him back home before the following Monday, as he has an interview to get a full ride into Stanford. They don't find their father, and Sam ends up going back home, but when he enters his apartment, his girlfriend is dead, and the place bursts into flames, just like with his mother all those years ago. It's this ( ... )

Personality:

Dean is, at times, referred to as the "Good Son" in the Winchester family, and it's true by most standards; he's an excellently obedient son, an incredibly protective older brother, and a competent surrogate parent for Sam. Through most of his life, his father was out of the picture, hunting for the yellow eyed demon that killed his mother, and as a result, Dean has had to watch out for Sam and make sure he never got into trouble. This, at times, has caused problems, because as obedient to his father as Dean is, Sam always comes first; Dean is willing to do just about anything for his brother, (even murder somebody, or sell his soul for his brother's life) and though he may not say it, Sam is the most important person in the universe, and a lot of what makes Dean Dean is because of Sam ( ... )

First Person:

Guess this is gonna serve as my notes for now.

I woke up in some weird-ass hotel room, definitely not where I was last. Last thing I remember, I was being used as a chewtoy, so if this is Hell, I'm pretty damn disappointed. I was expecting something a bit more... I don't know, traumatizing. A hotel room with creepy fog outside isn't exactly going to make me cower in terror. Anyway.

Woke up, found a bag of chips from like the 60s, a bottle of water and a couple of other things, including this cell phone thing I'm using right now. I haven't messed around with it enough to really figure out exactly what it does. Tried getting ahold of Sam with it. No answer.

Guess I'd better try to see what's outside. Without a weapon. Peachy.

Third Person:Sam likes candy, and Dean knows it ( ... )

Character Info

Character Name: Link
Series: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Game)
Canon Point: Post game, after Zelda sends him back in time, and he had a chance to grow up a bit. (Even though it’s implied that it takes place after Ocarina of Time, I will not be including the plot from Majora’s Mask in his history and such, since the timeline can be debated.)
Character's Age: About 17 years old.

Link Application (2/?) earthykitty September 28 2009, 02:40:17 UTC
History: I’ll keep this as concise as I can. Link was born the son of a knight, but during a war, he was killed when his manor was attacked. Link’s mother was able to flee with her son, but she was mortally wounded in doing so. She was able to make it to the Kokiri Forest, in which it is forbidden for outsiders to enter. She begged the guardian of the forest, the Great Deku Tree, to take care of her son, and she died. Sensing that Link’s fate was tied to that of Hyrule, the Great Deku Tree took him in, and he was raised as a Kokiri ( ... )

To keep things from getting too long, I’ll keep this part relatively short. Link goes to Death Mountain, home of the Gorons, and Zora’s Domain and gathers the two remaining stones after defeating the monsters and saving Princess Ruto. When he returns to Hyrule Castle, he finds that Ganondorf has already attacked and has successfully taken over the throne of Hyrule. Zelda was able to escape with the help of her nanny/bodyguard/personal ninja, Impa. (If you’ve never played the game or read the manga, I’d look up a picture of her. She’s pretty kick-ass.) Anyway, Zelda managed to get the Ocarina of Time to Link, and told him through some sort of telepathic message to open the Door of Time himself. Link does so, but Ganondorf intercepts him when he pulled the Master Sword from the Pedestal of Time. Link blacks out ( ... )

Link Application (4/6) earthykitty September 28 2009, 02:42:35 UTC
Personality: Link is a very quiet and somewhat shy individual. He generally doesn’t speak unless spoken to, unless of course, he needs to talk to someone to get directions or get information about something. He’s also very brave, on the verge of being a little…idiotic. (He crosses that line more than once on his adventure.) It’s not that he’s stupid, but he does fail to think before he acts sometimes.

Link is also very loyal, and he will do anything to protect those he loves, and he’ll even risk his life to help those he doesn’t know too. (If you’ve ever gone on the quest for the Biggoron Sword, you know what I’m talking about.) He’s a very kind person, though you’d still better watch out if you get on his bad side. He’s an accomplished warrior, and even after being sent back in time, was considered one of the best swordsmen in Hyrule, not to mention a great rider and archer.

How will you character react to the setting?: Link will definitely be disoriented with Silent Hill, even if he’s not in the Nightmare World thingy. ( ... )

History: Edward and his younger brother Alphonse were born and raised in a small farming town called Resembool in the country of Amestris. His mother Trisha was a kind, loving woman, and his father, Hohenheim, was an awkward, distant sort of person who seemed to be too busy reading his alchemy books to really be much of a father to the boys. When Ed and Al were still very young, Hohenheim left home, leaving Trisha alone to raise the two boys by herself. After a few short years, Trisha succumbed to an illness and passed away, leaving the two young boys in the care of Pinako Rockbell, a long time family friend and grandmother of the Elric boys' childhood friend Winry ( ... )

Personality: Ed is rather mature for his age, but comments on his height often tend to send him into fits of childish rage. While vocal and opinionated, he isn't the sort of person who lets his emotions show on the surface. His deepest fears and worries are usually bottled up, and he likes to keep up a positive attitude at least on the surface. He has a habit of putting others before himself, especially his brother Alphonse. Ed is generally easy to get along with, but he's also damn good at holding grudges.

How will you character react to the setting?: After getting over the initial shock of not being where he's supposed to be (and the fact that his alchemy no longer works), he'd most likely try to stay calm and rational despite the fact that everything around him is literally going to hell. Try being the key word. Naturally, pretty much everything in town would scare him shitless (especially when the crazy psychological shit is called into play, he has mommy issues, daddy issues, brothers issues, you name it), but he's the type who ( ... )

"Goddammit, you've got to be kidding me, it still doesn't work!"

Upon awakening unexpectedly in the unfamiliar hotel room, one of the first things Edward became aware of was his complete lack of his ability to use alchemy. Though this wasn't the first time something like this had happened. When he and his brother Alphonse ran into that bearded freakshow beneath Central City, they'd been stripped of their alchemy then as well.

But this was different. He wasn't even in Central anymore, so how could that guy have anything to do with this? Ed wondered briefly if maybe "Father" had succeeded in opening the Gate, but quickly discarded that idea. Ed had seen the Gate, and this was nothing like it. In fact, this wasn't like any place Ed had ever seen before. And he'd done a lot of traveling within the past few years. This "Silent Hill" or wherever the hell he was wasn't even on any Amestrian maps that he'd ever seen. And as if being in an unfamiliar place wasn't bad enough, he had no ( ... )

History: Shinjiro lost his parents at a very young age, though canon never goes over when and how. He grew up in an orphanage in Japan for most of his childhood, where he became very close to another boy his own age named Akihiko and his younger sister Miki. For awhile things were relatively calm. Things went well for a few months. The three used their powers to kill off the monsters, doing their best to protect the people around them all while going to school. But like all things it couldn't last. One night a Shadow fled into a residential area, but the three were too eager and headstrong to be careful. And at the absolute wrong time Shinjiro's Persona, Castor, went wild, killing a young woman, with her son watching near-by ( ... )

Personality: On the surface Shinjiro is a bitter, harsh young man. He is anti-social and has an air of repressed violence around him at all times. In fact, many would assume he’s a street punk looking for his next mugging victim. And to be honest, that’s not exactly untrue. Shinjiro IS bitter, mean, aggressive and sarcastic, looking out for himself and MAYBE those he considers his own first and not giving much of a shit for anyone else in doing so. He tends to hunch over, loom, and snarl at the world around his as if it did him a personal injustice. He can also seem cocky and arrogant ( ... )
