Thanks for this lovely little insight into the humdrum of Giles' life after Sunnydale. It was cozy and warm and I really liked the line about babbling being contagious. :D

Thanks again!

I'm so glad you liked it! :) I absolutely love Giles, and when I was thinking of signing up for a challenge, I wanted to write him post-Chosen :) Also, I always thought that Giles would be quite horrified at realizing he'd picked up habits from Sunnydale - and I found it amusing that babbling to himself might be one. Thanks so much for the feedback!

YAY! For Giles and all his goodness.

God I'd forgotten how I loved that Character. So glad you'll be using him so I'll get to read him more!

Well done!

I enjoyed this capture of Giles, especially this vivid bit: The lull of quiet domesticity, the beat of the music, the mess that he made on the counters, it all settled into his bones and washed away his agitation and weariness. If only for tonight, being home was one way to wipe away everything. The food lingered on his hands and the enticing aromas wrapped around him, brushing away the last vestiges of the day. Giles relaxing after a hard day at work paints a lovely picture, but tying this up with him struggling with nightmares drives the point home that his is not just any job. Nice work.
