well, we just went over the past tense stuff, and went over the 3 exersizes in the workbook, nothing too complicated.

Essere is the one that doesn't change based on gender and plural, right? I think that Avere does.

essere doesn't change with gender, correct. avere does, and the thing about when to use them brings into play whether or not they can have a direct object. so, if there's a direct object, use avere; no direct object, use essere. that's what's giving me the most trouble, I think.
oh, btw, me and umm.. that dark-haired girl and laura all kinda went into the bathroom to talk because it was freezing outside, so we'll probably be in there again tomorrow before class tomorrow. LOL
