If I recall correctly ETS scores are all good for about five years, but it should tell you on the website. I think you'd be good to go, as far as taking it a year before applying. I took my GRE in 2003 and didn't apply to grad school till October 2006.

I am looking forward to fall like a ridiculous autumn craving beast of foliage.

Thanks! I was looking on the website but couldn't find it-- must not have looked far enough. I think what would probably happen *knock on wood* is that I would take the test this year, work for one more year abroad, then come home and move to the state in which whatever grad school I want to get into is located, establish residency (I think sometimes that takes up to a year), and then apply, so it'll be a while. : )

After I typed that about the cool weather it got really hot up in here. -_-;
