I keep thinking I should try my hand at one of these fanmix things, but keep putting it off. Do you have a relatively non-spammy lyrics site you'd recommend or do you transcribe your own? (I'm sure I'd wind up with some really twisted interpretations if I tried to transcribe my own :D)

elyrics works well for me, though I sometimes disagree with them and rely on my own judgment (always a mistake). SongMeanings is another favorite. I'd love to see you make a mix. You have an unique, wonderful ear for music, and it would be very interesting to see what you created.

Anyway, I posted my very first fanmix to an LJ fanmix community (not sure but you may have to join to see the entries as I think they are friends locked). This was hard for me as I don't often listen to lyrics, but that song meanings site you told me about was a great help (as was a Mac iTunes helper called TuneLyrics). Here's the link if you are interested in checking it out. Believe it or not it's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer deal (blame the hubby for getting me hooked, LOL)

We kept the holidays nice and low key this year, and I limited my shopping time by giving out a lot of cash. It seemed to work well for everyone. How were your holidays?

Edit: Holy Shit. I have never heard this version of "Can't Get You Out Of my Head", but it's fucking amazing, bordering on addictive! Now I'm really sorry that I only knew the shitty pop version that isn't even close to House/Cuddy. This one is way more dramatic and the piano just screams House/Cuddy. Love it! Okay, I'm in love with the whole mix.
