Little help here please!

I have a friend who recently got his chest and stomach waxed. After this happened, he got a pretty major case of folliculitios, basically a swelling/infection of the follicles where the hair was removed. Any suggestions on how to combat this sort of thing so his chest/abs stop looking like raw meat
