I guess it was Katrina last year when I realized that a lot of people who want to fight the "war on terrorism" just really want to fight wars on brown people. Doesn't matter where the brown people are from, as long as they are of a dark complexion, they just don't really matter as much.
I can still remember being called a "bleeding heart" because I said I didn't care if people complained about getting MRE's. They're distressed, they lost their homes, possible loved ones and they're just upset. Let them complain.
But to some, the inventory of Walmart and Best Buy was more important then those people. I don't think Ray Nagin did a good job, but at least he cared.
For similar but different reasons, I think you and I both are growing resentful of this country and the people in charge.
