Sad news. I just heard that Del Martin, one member of the first gay couple to marry in California, has died. She was 87. She and her partner had been together for 55 years, finally getting the chance to marry last June, partly because of their own activism. I was really inspired by the pictures of their wedding--just imagine staying together

That's so sad. :\ But at least they can say that they were able to marry legally, instead of her dying before she was able to. Still, though. :\

Aww. Suck. At least they had a chance to be married for a little while? Though I'm sure that, in the end, that isn't what matters. It's the 55 years they had to spend together.
