Computer Help?

Can someone recommend a good (and preferably free) antivirus program?  I currently use Windows Defender and Symantec, and I think my computer is infected with something that's messing with them.  Symantec quarantined a bunch of Trojans a while back, and ever since then it freezes if I try to open up the quarantine folder or run updates that affect ( Read more... )

I'd recommend the free version of Malwarebytes, which you can get at http://www.malwarebytes.org. If that doesn't work I'd try AVG (http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage). If the virus on your computer prevents you from downloading or installing these programs a good workaround is to download them using another computer and burn them onto a CD. You can then install the programs from the CD onto your computer without problems usually. I got some pretty nasty trojans a few weeks ago and this did the trick.
