Since returning from conferencing/visiting friends, I have been basically semi-comatose, probably because I averaged four hours of sleep a night the entire time I was away. I was also teetering on the edge of sickness, and felt awful, probably due to the large amounts of cheese I consumed due to the lack of adequate, filling vegetarian provisions ( Read more... )

Tomato ROSEMARY, which is my favourite herb ever! They're a really nice savory flavour, with a hint of sweetness. I kind of want to try adding oregano next time.

That sounds yummy.
Just a question: do you really make the scones without any raising agent like baking powder or yeast, or does the vinegar make the dough rise?

The scones do get 2 tbsp of baking powder, but no yeast. They're fairly dense, but that's how all the scones I have ever encountered are...

Ah, thanks for the clarification :-) Yes, I was aware that "scones" rhyming with "stones" wasn't a mere coincidence, but without baking powder they'd have seemed a bit too stony ;-)
