Exchange-ish Stuffs

I'm finally catching up on the sshg_exchange (and poking at my pinch hit and brainstorming for the lm_hgficxchange and working like made on my thesis-yay, productivity!), and am thrilled to at last be able to read the fics that I've been seeing squee'd all over the place...

There are two three (ETA: I forgot one which was a while back, and am horribly ashamed of myself)

I really adored the first two madly. I did just rec/link to "Dark Santiago" and the only reason actually "By Any Other Name" didn't get squeed on my post is that it hadn't been posted yet.

You should warn people though that when reading "By Any Other Name" one should stay away from sharp objects and have a packet of emergency fluff standing by.

Gorgeous writing on both though.

I didn't find it terribly depressing-it left me feeling rather desolate for a while, although I didn't cry-but I think that's because I was so taken in by the writing.

The only reason I felt utterly despondent was because the writing (and this goes for all three) was so good.

I admit that one thing Dark Santiago and By Any Other Name had in common was that reading them I felt like an utter hack.
