More than that, though, I'm impressed with how much this book managed to hold back-bits of information, potential directions (less delightfully twisty) than it ended up going in.

Fingersmith was truly a wonderful book. I was so into it that it felt like a knife was being shoved into my gut in parts, and it was just so well put together. I will be devouring her, I think.

Delicious? What a word choice. I love it. You took a perfectly good adjective and used it to evoke disgust without needing to explain a thing. Nice. And ewww!

The two men sharing an alcove was particularly special. Otherwise, the evening was a great deal of fun.
I may add Sarah Waters to the spreadsheet, if that's okay with you. That book was stunning.
