So, please, this summer, make your friendly neighbourhood barista happy by not ordering a blended beverage.  You may be shocked by the genuine nature of the following, "Have a nice day."

The ordering of said blended beverages is widely viewed as an extreme form of sado-masochism and, aside from a small and deeply troubled minority, we like to curl

I think I'll stick with iced drinks...But what happens when I want a blended strawberry lemonade?

As long as there isn't a line-up of drinks, you should be able to get away with it. It's just bloody annoying when you get a line up of twenty children who all want a bloody strawberries and creme frap. Makes you wonder if you can substitute the strawberry sauce for blood, it does.

But blended drinks in the summer, damn kids hot chocolates in the winter. We can never truly escape...

No, but I'd rather make the kids hot chocolate any day rather than the frap... And the smell of caramel torments me in my sleep.
