Interesting they should contest that charge...starving of neutrals...who did give that order, or was it the result of underlings out in the ranks not(or following) orders of another sort? Is that what the judge indicated by saying they were legally not guilty this time, but they held themselves morally guilty nonetheless ( ... )

You reviews always make me happy, and this one especially. :)

You're very close to figuring it out. I don't even know what to write you without revealing the end game here. ^^"

(If you have a wish for a small oneshot, just say it. I'm in the mood of writing something for you at the moment.^^)

I would be honored with a one shot =) Glad to hear I'm on the right track even though I can't see it yet...all of the elements you have going are just such a wonderful read. My favorite this part was jazz laying his head down on the table, and how you describe for the reader how everyone knows this is an act...Powerful!!! How could I turn down more from you =)

This is very complex and must be giving the judges a processor ache. I think he's hit the mark close to home with it never being about whether or not those crimes happened. Also curious with the conveniently placed pieces of evidence making them look guilty and the lack of witnesses.

Can I just say: plausible deniability.

By now nearly everyone on Cybertron has a processor ache. ;)
Yes, Tyrest has it the mark very closely. He doesn't know why, but he has seen the strategy. The lack of witnesses is an important detail, that much I can tell, I guess. ;)

I love this part! Especially the whole 'courtroom' feeling to the scene, the procedurals, the wording, Tyrest insights...

So far it looks as if Prowl and Jazz try to pull a "Zero Requiem." - Are you familiar with the end of the anime "Code Geass R2"?

Tanks for the review! Yes, that's exactly why I wrote the chapter, I wanted to show the courtroom, the official side - and that even the "offical" mechs have their own doubts and thoughts.

Yes, I'm familiar with the end. Never really expected it. Though I don't know what a "Zero Requiem" is... but I suspect that you're very close to the truth with your guess.

It's Lulu's gambit where he tricked the whole world into believing that he is the ultimate evil, so bad that all warring factions united to bring him to justice - and succeeded (plus passing the mantle of Zero to Suzu). Which resulted in world peace, or as close as we - being human - can get. That anime is my favorite. Watched it four times by now and I still cry...

God, that end scene... I had wondered how Code Geass ends, and I knew it had to be with his death, but that Suzaku would be the one to kill him... as Zero no less! Never expected that.

I don't want to confirm or deny, at the moment as both would give to much information about the end.

I am beginning to see the shape of what is happening. I am not going to speculate, but I will say that this story intrigues and saddens me, because it deals with the terrible cost of war.

Sounds great. :)
Yes, the cost of war is often also the unseen consequences...
