In the upcoming election, vote NO to marriage in virginia.

Proposed Amendment to VA Constitution

To sum up the proposed amendment, VA wants to add to the VA Constitution the definition that a marriage is between 1 man and 1 woman. Personally, I don't like constitutional amendments that are discriminatory.

People in VA (actually everywhere in US for that matter) should boycott marriage until politicians stop being stupid.

Even though I don't live in VA, thanks for the support. Unfortunately, due to the current political climate in the country, this ammendment will no doubt pass with surging support. :(

According to a recent poll in the Washington Post (I dont feel like getting the link, but you can search yourself if so inclined), said that a majority of VA supported the amendment, however in NoVA, the majority supports allowing same-sex marriage.

At least part of the state doesn't have their head up their collective asses.

Of course I am in the freakin'ridiculous congressional district which basically makes my vote count for NOTHING but I will still vote.
