Oooh... this was good. I loved the imagery in the beginning, and the way you described Mayuri's feelings towards Kisuke...

Urahara is a tricky character to write, but you did it pretty well!

*smiles* Thank you so much. ^^ I really appreciate your comment. *wibbles*

I really have to practice at writing Urahara, it seems, as I do like the Urahara/Mayuri pairing. (Mad scientists for the win!) He's tricky, though.

oh wow. never thought of this pairing. very well written and I like how you portray their characteristics. :D I like the last line in the story, it just fits Urahara so well, the "sad tilt to his lips".

thanks so much for sharing! :D

*grin* I just like crazy pairings, I suppose. (And honestly, there's enough crazy in these two to last a life-time.) I'm very pleased to hear you thought I portrayed them well, as I don't quite have as much experience writing Urahara as I do Mayuri. So that's really appreciated. :D

OMFG UNF that was fantastic! I think you did a great job with both of them.

Also it was a much better take on either one of them than I can manage... But I'll have to try because I definitely and endlessly crave fic about them. XD

Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. ^^ I worried you might not approve. *giggle*

Aw, bless. You're too sweet. Seriously, though, I'm sure you'd do a much better job and I'd love to read it. (And maybe I can help you with that craving again soon. ;)) Cheers, hun!

No, no. I approve! I love the weird way they are around one another.

Ugh, no. I will give it a try for you or someone else while I work on my other prompts, but ugh so scary. I'll write them so badly but yay craving helping. :D <3

Hee! In that case, I'm so very happy that I could supply it. I am ever so fond of Mayuri and this pairing in particular is just wickedly interesting. Two brilliant, though crazy, scientists with odd social norms. It's great.

Thank you so much!

fffffttttt I've been dying to read something/anything with these two for artistic inspiration. Great descriptions and interaction. Great PAIRING >:D I know writing these two can be a total headache sometime *sigh*

Fabulous~

Oh, wow, I'm so glad to hear that there are more people who enjoy this pairing. Before this post I figured there might be just a handful, but it turned out to be more than that. *happy* I always thought people hated Mayuri so much - which I don't get, but that's beside the point - that they wouldn't want to pair them up. It's always great to hear I'm wrong. ;)

Hopefully I could help you in the artistic inspiration department! If anything ever comes of said inspiration, then please let me know. I'd love to see it.

Thanks!

When good Mayuri-related work does pop up, all us fans crawl out from our quiet hideouts and just eat it up it seems. I don't get most Mayuri pairings, but when he's written well, I forget about the lack of sanity in it.
-except for Urahara/Mayuri, which makes all the sense in the world >:D

I don't know if you've seen the Fade to Black movie, but it added the cherry on to your cake of inspirational UraMayu goodness. I'll definitely give you a heads up if I get some work out from this ♥

You flatterer, you. *grin* I can understand it, though. Mayuri doesn't get half the attention he deserves. I don't get that, because writing him is so much fun. Intelligent, creative, frightening, crazy, border-line evil/most definitely evil...what's not to like, especially from a creative stand-point?

I have! Let me just insert a spoiler barrier before gushing. *grin*

FADE TO BLACK SPOILERS HERE!!I hadn't actually seen it before I wrote this - I watched the movie last night - but I got all giddy because of it. Apart from feeling so bad for Mayuri for feeling so frightened of being locked up again, it gave us such an insight in him and the dynamic those two have. He truly fears being locked up and restrained, which I suppose is the scientist in him. He needs to be creative and that can't be tied down. (Which would also explain his current madness ( ... )
