I always figured Urahara would say Kurotshuchi-san because I don't think Mayuri would accept to be called by his first name by anyone. But then again, Urahara probably wouldn't care!

I remember that in the pendulum chapters, Shinji - still as a captain - called Mayuri simply 'Mayuri' and while he (Mayuri) acted annoyed at that, and said so, he couldn't really do much about it. I see Urahara, especially at that time, as a similar type of person, so I always figured he'd go with the first name. Just not sure if he'd add -san or not.

Haha, Shinji would be the one to probably care even less (in a way I understand why he was among the hollowfied ones)! But you're right, that's kinda tricky. -san does hold some kinda respect (even if he uses his first name), and Urahara must have respected Mayuri's talent or else he wouldn't have freed him. But then again he's probably also be saying it in a way to really tick Mayuri off!

I think Urahara would appreciate the contrast in 'Mayuri-san' too, actually. Like he's both showing respect and teasing the heck out of him. Hopefully someone else will weigh in as well so I can choose which one to go with.
I don't much care for Hitsugaya either. I only like him when combined with Matsumoto. However, I can definitely see why people would ship them and after that particular scene - especially that look - I figured plenty of people would be writing fic. *grin*
Oooh yes. I love me some Byakuya. Especially when he gets to be snarky towards Renji and/or Ichigo. Makes me very happy.
