Wow, you are seriously the first Floyd fan I've spoken to that shows any dislike at all for Atom Heart Mother. And funnily enough, the Floyd themselves look back on it with some disdain too, so I suppose we're in good company...

Yep, a friend (who spent a good amount of money on said tickets) and I were supposed to go a few days before my birthday about a year ago. I will never understand my stupidity...

I'm glad you agree about the centaur thing! One of my many nerdy loves is to imagine what sort of animal so-and-so would be. Mick Jagger is a monkey (funnily enough, no connection to "Monkey Man" there). Rick Wright is a bird. Roger is clearly a horse. There is no doubt about that. (gives him saltlick) And we won't even get into mythological creatures/gods...oy.

I do that too! And I imagined Rick as a bird... or a chameleon. There was something besides the intial and obvious horse I imagined Roger as but I can't remember it now.

If I were more motivated (ie. not lazy), I would totally write a fic about the Floydian animal kingdom. And we know very well who'd be at the top of the food chain there...

I totally want to see him galloping through a field and playing the guitar solo from "Comfortably Numb"...um, with an extra long cord hooked up to the amp, I guess.
