When I have to give Kipling medication, I wrap the pill in one of the Greenies pill-pockets... which he won't eat voluntarily, so I pill him with that. Pry his mouth open and drop it in. He hates this, but at least it gets the pill inside of him.

The last time I put a pill in him that was just a pill, and miraculously got it straight down his throat, he forced himself to vomit. Oh cats.

Our cat Oliver likes to eat fish. We give him sardines and canned Mackerel along with his dry food (Blue Buffalo Mature formula). Getting the fish is cheaper than getting wet cat food, which may have questionable ingredients. Like corn, that carnivores can't digest.

I'm glad he's eating. Sorry he won't take the pill.

Arrrrgh to cats that won't pill (which is admittedly most of them, but Nox sounds especially dedicated!). And a bigger arrrgh to delivery screw-ups!

Have you tried a pet piller? Like this one.

My two older cats used to be on daily or 2x daily meds and we got sick of tussling. Your vet might be able to sell you one, too. Saves your fingers and generally gets it far down enough their throat that they have to swallow it. Sorry if they have an auto-barf tendency though. :(

We have a six-foot front fence. There's a vehicle gate which can be opened from the outside, but not easily; and a pedestrian gate which leads to the front door and is easily opened.

I heard a lot of rattling outside this morning, and opened the door in time to see a courier - apparently giving up on the vehicle gate - getting back into his van, and a parcel arcing over the fence to land on our driveway.

In the event, the contents weren't fragile and were undamaged... but that wasn't obvious from the outside!
