Really? I mean, really?! Sorry, hon', I'm not taking that seriously. I just cannot. Your "mediocre-at-best writing"? Yeah, right. And I'm Santa. Don't sweat it, darling, there's always gonna be someone better than us, someone who's already done what we're doing and who's done it better and faster, but we're different, all of us, and nothing you write will ever be the same as anybody else's work. It won't even be the same as what you've already written: we're constantly changing, improving, becoming something else, and who knows? Maybe in a couple of years you'll be as observant as Sherlock Holmes and you'll write only super-detailed historical novels, or you might decide that writing doesn't suit you anymore, after all, and you'd like to take on a more "physical" hobby, instead, and then end up being the best juggler in the country. Don't get frustrated, you've got no reason to. ;)
Thank you. I mean it. :) On a rational level, I do know all of this. But I guess there are times when knowing isn't quite enough, and I just feel kind of useless .. ... If I ever get how this weird "coordination" thing is supposed to go, you can bet I'll try juggling. Or training seals, that sounds fun too. XD
You're welcome, dearie, anytime. ;) If you ever become a seal trainer, then, I think I'll stalk you until you invite me to pet the seals at least once. I've always wanted to know how they feel to the touch. XD
Oh, I will invite yoou, don't worry. XD I've always wondered about that, too. I have a friend who told me she got to pet a dolphin once, said it was like touching rubber, wet and kinda slippery. I guess it would be similar with seals, plus the fur, which I like to imagine would be so soft. <3
