HBO has already renewed Hung & True Blood for another season. I haven't had a chance to watch Hung yet, but yay for more True Blood!

The cast of Criminal Minds is looking remarkably accident-prone right now. Shemar Moore was hit by a car this past Saturday & broke his leg. And Matthew Gray Gubler is still using crutches because of recent surgery ( Read more... )

I think there was speculation at one point they were going to call the pilot Ice & Fire. IDK, it holds true to the original title but that seems a bit generic if you don't know the context/background.

Yeah, I agree about the one season, one book thing; it's exactly what they're doing with True Blood too. Maybe they're hoping that seeing his work on film will inspire GRRM to work a bit faster. ;)

Ah, I haven't watched the new season of True Blood yet so I didn't know about that. (Aww, I love Anna. Heh, it's so rare that we have such a huge difference in opinion about something. I guess it keeps things fresh. ;D)

And I am close to declaring that waiting for A Dance with Dragons is worse than waiting for Potter books. At least you could count on Harry Potter every two years.
... I am not a fan of the later HP books so, um, all I can think to say is that maybe they would have been better if she hadn't been pumping them out like that. :X I haven't read any of GRRM's books or even know that much about him as an author, but I hope the wait will be worth it for you. :)

When I first heard the news about Terry Pratchett's illness I was so sad.
:-(
He is so awesome, and of course he should have the right to choose the time and manner of his own passing.

I agree with everything you said. :(

And, while it's a horrible, horrible disease to everyone it affects, it's a bit more sad when someone as brilliant and great as him becomes a victim.

Yeah. :(

I am inspired by how he is approaching all of this with dignity & courage. And assisted suicide is such a controversial topic, his advocacy could help others who are suffering from the same cruel fate.

- Woohoo CBS! I'm excited about the new season of Medium and the idea of her powers being altered. But a big old HELL NO to the idea of crossover with Ghost Whisperer.

And there's something so adorable about the little one finally getting lines because she can remember more.

- I had no idea about Terry Pratchett. What is up with people's insistence that life is the best thing ever *even* when you're in crippling pain and have no chance of recovery?

Anyway, the only thing of Pratchett's I've read is Good Omens which I enjoyed. Do you think his non co-authored books would be my cup of tea?
