The first episode of Law & Order: UK did fantastic; there is already talk that more episodes may be ordered.

I haven't seen an officially official confirmation but everyone seems to be running with this story so ... Alan Tudyk has joined the cast of Dollhouse. (The role might be considered a spoiler, maybe?) I haven't watched the show yet but if ( Read more... )

I so need to see L&O:UK. I've heard amazing things about it all over my flist and seriously, Jamie Bamber? Yummy.

I'm sure Amy getting cast in that show doesn't necessarily mean anything, since her character hasn't really been a huge feature in the show (but interesting nonetheless). I am still worrying over Dollhouse in general because of it airing Fridays and its current ratings, but I still maintain hope. I have to, but I am liking it so much right now. Also, hearing about Alan Tudyk makes me smile. :)

Still squeeing that SPN has been picked up. Yays! :D

The worst thing I've heard about Law & Order: UK is that it's not a real representation of the British legal system -- but that's like saying The Sarah Connor Chronicles isn't a real representation of modern robotics. :P Fiction is fiction.

I have a batch of links to post & I'm not sure if this particular tidbit is in there but everyone is saying that Dollhouse is supposed to really pick up by/after 106; hopefully the audience sticks around & FOX doesn't cancel it before then.

Another thing? The Tudyk thing is-- it hasn't been confirmed as false, but a lot of the original sources are much less confident about it. I'm prepared for disappointment. :/

Supernatural's renewal was really a surprise, better ratings & all. It's a show that practically lives on the bubble's edge.

Stargate Universe just doesn't even sound interesting to me. I'm going to watch the three hour series premiere, I'll give it a shot, but I don't think I'm going to like it. Judging by comments Jason Momoa and Joe Flanigan made at a con appearance, it's probably good they decided to cancel SGA. The actors were at odds with the writers and their shitty writing. I mean, they didn't SAY it like that, but it was implied. Seriously, they RAILED on the series finale.

I'm glad to hear that you're willing to give it a shot! That's more than a lot of Stargate Atlantis fans are planning to do.

I'm not expecting much of Stargate Universe but I hope it's enjoyable; the concept is basically a rip-off of Voyager & all, but the cast seems interesting enough.

It's sad to hear that SGA had turned into a clusterfuck by the end. D: The Stargate 'families' (SG-1, SGA, & the crew) always seemed to be really close. But I guess the stress of working with bad material gets to everybody at a certain point.

Also, I just read the Dollhouse casting spoiler. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. That's almost as EEEEEEEEEEEEEE-worthy as Summer Glau appearing on the Big Bang Theory.

I'm quite glad that Samuel L. Jackson is back in the Marvelverse. His cameo at the end of Iron Man made me squee.

Trying not to click on that Scrubs link (we haven't got season eight here yet...)

I think Marvel knew that people would be pissed if they just recast Nick Fury instead of giving Jackson the money he deserved/was asking for. Talk about perfect casting! :D

I try to be mindful that not everyone has seen everything yet; I'm glad I didn't mention anything that would have accidentally spoiled you! :)

Thanks for that! :D

I would have been among the pissed, I've read Ultimates and I heard they designed Nick Fury to specifically be played by Samuel L Jackson... :)
