I think having Leonard & Majel involved is such a fantastic move on JJ's part; he really does have an appreciation for what made Star Trek such a great & long-lasting franchise.

Re: Lost, I just saw one of the tv promos yesterday. I was really impressed actually. I like what they're doing with the show's mythology, everyone having to go back to save the island. Creeepy!

(In a couple of weeks I'm going to be sharing this sci-fi jdrama called Long Love Letter. It vaguely reminds me of Lost; if I can remember, I'll have to insist that you check it out. ;))

Hee! This is seriously weird, I was just about to edit my comment to you when I got this comment notification. Talk about timing!

What I was going to say is that you might not have to wait too long for that drama. Ever since I mentioned it, I've been fighting the urge to watch it NOW. I'm crazy spontaneous like that. *facepalm*

I don't want to get you too excited because it's only vaguely like Lost, but a lot of reviewers have compared the two so that must mean something. Anyways, keep an eye the next day or two. ;)

This one must be something since not only did he take up the character again, but he came out of retirement.
Wow! That is really cool! As you probably already know, I don't know that much about the TOS era so I love it when you educate me in the ways of the Elders Originals.

Now I'm getting really excited to see how this movie turns out! XD

Interesting. Are you going to watch SGU?

As of right now, I'm planning on it. I love SGA but I'm not mad enough about its cancellation to boycott this & I'm just a big fan of sci-fi, no matter how derivative it is.

Guess that answers two questions - Fuller will be involved with the series next season and there WILL be a next season. With as terrible as the ratings have been, do NBC really believe they'll entice former fans back, though?

And *drumroll please* the first cast member of SGU has been announced. Robert Carlyle has been cast the lead(er).

Guess that officially quashes any rumors he'll be playing the Eleventh Doctor. Though I'd seriously doubted that from the beginning.

They also have the cover art & press release for the DVD release of Blossom s1 & 2.

I was just thinking - AGAIN - the other night, they really need to release this show on DVD. YAY!

I'm hoping that Heroes isn't completely beyond saving. :/ The terrible ratings might be a blessing as they try to regain the fanbase: I don't think they'll spare much expense trying to get things back on track, focusing on what made us all love the show in the beginning.

You have more patience than I do! After the 5th or 6th actor was rumoured to be casting, I got burnt out on spec. I'll start paying attention once the official word is out.
