My very own copy of Twilight came in the mail today.

I've already read it -- back in 2006. I loved it. I meant to continue on with the series but nothing ever came of that & I just forgot about it. Until LJ went cra-zee over the series & the upcoming movie. I never like being left out of things so I made it a point to track down a copy. Thanks to ( Read more... )

I love the series more on each successive read. Except BD. It can't disappear.

I hope I enjoy it as much as I did the first time; I know that some people have issues with the book & how the series progressed, but I just remember that I really thought the book & Bella were both pretty awesome. :D

Hee, I've had plenty of practice with making books disappear. (There's a seventh Harry Potter book? Epilogue, what epilogue?)

Definitely! And I think it helps to know going in that your expectations should be pretty low; you're right, there's better fanfiction out there... but there's worse too. :P I'm a sucker for the Mary Sue-ish YA vampire novel, but that's not everybody's cuppa' tea. :D
