Discovery fans, soon you'll have to say goodbye to Discovery Health. In 2009, it will be become 'The Oprah Winfrey Network'. That sucks so much. :( (When I first read about it over @ ONTD, I thought it was a hoax but I Googled it just to check. Gah.)

Heroes action figures! They're barely passable likeness-wise, but the extras may make up for it

oh i hope to see more of pushing daisies. it always conflicted with my ~real life but i loved all the episodes i was able to catch.

... Wasn't Oprah involved with We or Oxygen or another one of those networks? For the love of jebus, does she really need an ENTIRE CABLE CHANNEL?

I love the entire family of Discovery networks. And while I don't really have anything against Oprah, the sheer amount of influence she has is just mind-boggling to me.

(Although part of me wishes she'd just hurry up and take over the world, because she'd be better than the people in charge now...)

Like we need a whole network full of Oprah's brand of commercialism, self-gratification, and platitudes. Oh well.

I prefer Discovery Health over that anyday. I mean, I have nothing against Oprah personally but sometimes her influence can get the better of her sometimes, and changing Discovery Health to her own network is kind of overdoing it.

Even though most action figures don't look like the real thing, I'm getting those Heroes ones. Sylar and Claire for sure. Definitely Mohinder, although it doesn't look like him. But still....Mohinder! Dude, and he has his father's book with the actual photo of Chandra on the back! Cool.
