This is an really great list :) (Number 14 though.)

If you destroy something to understand it, you have not understood it at all.
This really stuck out at me when I was reading LotR - I even tagged the page in my copy.

Hahahaha. It is!

Yeah, I loved that line (obviously). I had a hard time mediating the desire to just quote the entirety of the books on this list, and be outrageously silly the whole way through. I don't know if this is quite a happy medium, but it's what I settled with. :P
