Actually, I mostly avoided death in today's tournament at UCC - the first go tournament to be held in Cork, as well as my own first attendance at one despite previous threats ^^ Kudos to Stephan & Co of the UCC Club for pulling it off smoothly.

Finished (well, left) work about on time. Rain was pretty bad while driving, to the degree that there was noticeable surface water on slopes at times. passed on a kara raid in favour of meeting up with nabnerd, creatorofsplab and quessir for go. It has been much colder here this last week or so than it was mid-winter. Such are the vagaries of Irish weather I guess. Not conducive to walking tho. I've also realized that I'm not going to be up to any sort of decent regular training for some time yet, possibly even summer -_-

Just back from a walk and it is cold outside. Freezing in fact, literally. This is probably due to the total lack of cloud cover, making for a good view of the stars away from the lit streets.
