I am always crying when they come onstage, too. It's crazy intense and I don't know why. I love it though.

That is a great set list, I am excited!

And lastly, I am so into that shirt. I'm happy that it has an octopus on it because I think my concert partner will like that.

I KNOW, I was remembering when you cried at the Cedar. I can't remember - did you see them in Iowa last summer? The non-obnoxious guy next to me (who looked like a grown-up version of Nathan) was telling me what an amazing show that was. But seriously, I had several moments (see: "Dinu Lipatti's Bones", "Broom People", "Tyler Lambert's Grave") where I actually had to sort of cover my face and wipe away tears.

I KNOW. I'm so excited for you! Are you actually going to the Portland show as well, or just SF?

Also, you should really download the boot of the show, if only to hear Yuvol Semo's fucking amazing piano playing on "Tyler Lambert's Grave". I'm still listening to see if I can hear myself (you can hear me cheer while JD is talking before "Estate Sale Sign", actually) but it's sooo good.

edit: my MANIACAL SCREAM at the beginning of "Prowl Great Cain" is immortalized. oh boy.

Oh, just to reiterate: THAT SOUNDS FANTASTIC. I've only been to the one Mountain Goats show and I thought maybe it wasn't always so intense and energetic, but I've since learned that their shows are just Like That. I'm excited for you. :D

IT WAS THE BEST, AHHH. Even songs that don't normally provoke an emotional reaction from me ("Dinu Lipatti's Bones"; "Seeing Daylight") made me go crazy. SO WONDERFUL.
