I think it usually looks best if you work from the colors already in the picture. Also, it's way easier. XD

After the purple paint step, I was thinking "No, stop. It's getting much too bright!" and then you went and made it better with the multiply layer and the paint layers. :D

lol yeah I prefer to scale back the brightness towards the end rather than having to keep it under control throughout the whole process. XD
