I mostly wanted to know how you created those sort of chunky blocks of color around the main picture, and it turns out it was motion blur all along! (Well, motion blur with about a million layers on different settings. :)) I tend to be way more conservative on my icons, not letting the colors get too far out of the range of "normal," so I admire your daring and hope to incorporate some of it myself. :)
Yeah, it's mostly just motion blur and multiple layers. :D I did some smudging of the blurred layer in the original icon, too, it's why the color blocks looks a bit better in that one. oh, don't be afraid to do weird things with the colors! If it ends up so weird that you don't like it, you can always just not post it. Plus, it's fun. :)
