Summer is here, and with it comes the usual mad challenge of trying to cook “all the things”. My CSA basket is overflowing, so I need to try new things just to keep up. Here is what I did in June

Butter tarts are awesome. I like soup in the winter, especially.

Holy cow, you put me to shame. I am going to have to try some of these... maybe not the sorrel soup, though.

I love sorrel soup! I try out new versions all summer.

Neither of us are a fan of sorrel, so it seems easier to make something else. :P

My sorrel is suffering this year, with some kind of tiny black beetle just eating it up faster than I could even look. I doused it with diatomaceous earth now and hope it recovers because I'd really like to try it in a dish rather than just a salad dressing herb!

Mine is going to seed faster than I can eat it. I gave away a lot, and still can’t keep up.
