Once again, she is an instigator. A week or two ago she posted Bologna cake and I had to make my own. I ended up using a different recipe, but it was very similar.

Aside from the green olives on top it looks quite yummy. But then I like bologna and cream cheese. LOL. I would probably put them together on a sandwich. So works for me and makes me quite hungry looking at it. Just wish I could find a good tasting gf bologna.

YAY!!! I'm corrupting people!

How did the recipe differ from the one I posted? That one doesn't look as 'fussy' as the other one did. And I'm not seeing any Cheese Whiz.

The main differences were in the spicing and the amount of cream cheese. Your recipe called for ranch dressing mix and 1 1/2 blocks of cream cheese. This one called for grated onion (I used minced), Worcestershire sauce, and only 1 block of cream cheese. The flavour was fine but the "icing" ended up a tinge beige, and I should have used 1 1/2 blocks of cream cheese and scaled up the other ingredients. I ended up mixing up another 1/4 block of cheese icing , which was just barely enough.

I looked for spray cheeze (briefly) but haven't seen it sold in Canada in decades so just went with thin slices of cheddar. I had originally thought I could do little curls of cheddar, but that didn't work so I did geometric.

I think the sliced cheese is much better.

I applaud your courage in replicating this. Brava!

Replicating was the easy part. Putting it in my mouth - now that was scary!
