I went shopping at Value Village twice this week and got some fab clothes - most ready to wear, a few needing minor alterations, and two shirts to play with refashioning. what kind/style of massage do you have? Are they supposed to hurt?

You're so lucky to see an otter!

I'm getting pretty heavy-duty therapeutic massage with cupping. Except for the cupping (which is always rather painful) the massage itself doesn't normally hurt, though I can end up with tender spots where she has really dug in to release stubborn bits. Right now, though we are dealing with some old injuries combined with fascial adhesions that have left me struggling to stand or sit, and with knees that feel like I am suffering from Osgood-Schlatter disease. I also have serious issues with tension in my back; in the past it has left me with constant blinding headaches and loss of sensation in my fingers. Stretching, chiropractic and muscle relaxants all help a bit, but none of it is enough, even in combination. I'll take the short-term pain any day over continuing with that.

Yeah, the otter is pretty darned cool - especially considering that it's in the middle of a residential area near downtown.
