I feel tired. It is strange. Like a weight on my bones.

I do not wish to be obtrusive. But a question has been weighing on my mind and I cannot allow it to pass unvoiced. A moment of your time?

I was wondering if the Black and White Orders have ever held meetings to discuss the conflict peacefully. To listen to one another without threat of violence. Over the internet, for instance.

I'm not sure about other cities, but the possibility of it working out in Paris is slim to none. The last time one of our Knights tried to negotiate he was in the hospital for days. Events like the murder of Ophelia Tran in her own home and the death of Madeleine Montagné in the White Order's headquarters have already added hostility to existing relations. A Soldier killed his own brother because he was a Sigil.

While I would like to avoid bloodshed as much as possible, and go through this war without such violence, I do not think this war is something that can be negotiated peacefully, as our very goals are contradictory. The goal of opening the Gates cannot be compromised peacefully with the goal of keeping them closed.

I understand the need for action, General, and realize this war is in fact a war and the lives of many hang in the balance. Yet despite knowing how naive this must sound, and that the possibility of reconcilliation is slim to none, I cannot believe that even the smallest attempt to orient ourselves with their views and express our own positions would prove detrimental. At the very least, we could gain information from such a venture, particularly if one were to approach both sides as a neutral party.

They know neither my person nor my affiliations. I could, perhaps, act in the name of neutrality over this network. Yet if you do not feel this is something I should attempt, I will respect and obey your wishes.
