Journal Entry ~ Wednesday, March 7 ~ Evening

Mar 07, 2007 15:55

[[written in a somewhat shaky hand]]Sorry I haven't been around much lately. If you don't know, my uncle's been in hospital almost a month. My cousin's around, but she's got her family to look after so I've been spending most of my free time there. He seems to be doing a bit better at last - with any luck he'll be back on his feet soon. And I' ( Read more... )

June-
My mum was in the hospital not too long ago, so I myself was out of touch for a bit. My invitation to drop by still stands- and perhaps a few of us 'girls' on staff should go out some evening to relax- I know both you and Hermione Granger are in the castle somewhere, I just never see you!

As always, let me know if you need anything at all.

Professor ~

Thanks. Actually, an evening out sounds really brilliant. I'm sure you know it's the moon this weekend - come to think of it, you probably also know it's Remus's birthday Saturday. None of us are going to be in much shape to celebrate, and you know how Remus feels about making a big fuss, but I thought dinner later in the week... Could we count on you to put in an appearance? I'm sure Remus would be happy.

Back to the original question, though. Obviously tomorrow night is out. But anytime next week would probably be all right - I'm sorry, I don't know your class schedule, but when are you free?

June-

I'd love to help celebrate Remus's birthday. Just let me know when and where.

As for an evening out- I don't have classes on Thursday night, would that be a good time? I think I will invite Hermione, as well, and we can have a proper Girl's Night.

Sorry to hear about your uncle. I hope you're doing well.

Oh! Messers Bartel and Jaymesson were inquiring, the other day about how the prosthetics are working out.

Thanks, I'm all right. It's been dragging on a bit, but I think the end is in sight.

And speaking of, you can tell Messers. Bartel and Jaymesson that the prosthetics are working great! I've been wearing them constantly for the past couple of weeks and haven't had any real problems yet, barring needing to give them a quick clean from time to time. Of course I think I'm wasting them since all I seem to see these days is Hogwarts and the hospital - but on the other hand, it's really seemed to cheer my uncle up to see me. Heck, it cheers me up to be able to see him! So please give them my gratitude, again.

How's business? How's Zak? I've barely seen him lately. Maybe I'll stop by the shop sometime.

I'd say that I know what you mean, but I don't. I don't recall ever having to take care of a sick relative... Obviously Mum didn't trust Fred and I to take care of Ron or Ginny, when they were ill... However, having been run off my feet with business matters, I can kind of understand...

Chris and Steve will be extatic to hear this! I will be sure to pass what you've said on.

Zak has been a busy boy. With Fred and I busy so busy with the new shop opening, he's been almost completely in charge of turning out product. I couldn't be happier with how well he's doing! Although now that the Hogsmeade store is open, I think he's long over due for a few days off.

June~

I am so sorry about your uncle, mon amie. I do hope that he turns around for the better. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

PS, maybe a blanket will make your uncle feel better, I've enclosed one of the new ones. I hope he likes it.

Enclosed with a box is a nuetral toned blanket similar to the one she gave June for Christmas

Charlotte ~

Thanks. I think we're nearly at the end of it; at least he seems to be doing better.

For the blanket, Charlotte, thank you, but I can't take it! It's too much, you don't even know him. I mean, not to sound ungrateful because it's so kind of you to send it, but... I can only imagine how much work it takes to make one of these so large and beautiful. You should give this one to somebody you love, you know?

Tell you what, why don't I stop by and bring it back to you next week? I need some Diagon Alley air.

Thanks again!

June~

One does not need to know someone to be kind to them. Please keep it, I have a whole pile that I have made since Christmas and it is no trouble. It is not done with any thought of repayment, just my sincere wishes that it gives him some small comfort while he recovers.

PS, I would love to see you, I have someone I think you would like to meet and lots of news since the last time I saw you.

I didn't realize all that was going on, June.

If I can do anything to help you'll let me know, right?

Oh, I don't think anybody did outside Spinner's End. It was kind of sudden, and I haven't talked much to anyone since.

Actually, I can think of one thing. Would you still be up for that night flying session we talked about way back when?

Hope you and Wini are well!

Oh, June, I'm so sorry that I haven't read this until now. I've been terribly busy with the... well, with the you know, and I've barely had time to look at a calender let alone this journal. I'm just now getting caught up on things-- I also owe Remus an owl or a note or something.

Anyways, the point is, please feel free to take advantage of me. If you need anything, let me know. I can drop things or I can meet you. Really, I'm here if you need it.

Sincerely,
Ginny
