I went to Amazon dot com to look for books on the Shinto Religion after talking to Bowen about Shinto (who recommended this book to me: The Essence of Shinto: Japan's Spiritual Heart by Motohisa Yamakage

Speaking of Religion & Science... I'm writing an opinion paper(my opinion)on Intelligent Design being taught in the classroom for my Physical Anthropology class.
Have any thing to say about that? Know any really good resources?
By the by, how are you doing? I ask as I probe you for information...probe probe.
I'm happy that there's levelheaded people like you posting on religious boards online ... and I'm happy that theres levelheaded people like you living in the USo'A in fundamentally frightening times of Christian sovereignty.
ps saw h.Rollins few weeks back, very inspiring, did he talk about his theory of animal jihad when you saw him speak (in LA i assume, or wherever you might be!)
I'm not a "wiccan", but my spirituality is closer to that than anything else. Polytheism works best for me. Buddhism wouldn't meet my needs at all for a magical mindset and a polytheistic view of godhood. Just because something has been around longer or is more legitimate in a scholastic sense doesn't make it fit people.
Those long links you posted in this post screwed up my page view so I'm unfriending you for a little bit so I can read LJ without scrolling side to side. Didn't want you to think I disagreed and baled on ya!

I consider myself a Taoist more than anything (other than an "Expander")... or sometimes a Kaos-Mage... but the the terms "taoist", "chaos-magician", "God", "magic" & "wiccan" are all so vauge as to mean almost nothing. "Christian" is also pretty vauge, except for the Monotheism and "Saved by Jesus" conotations.

If I had to pick only one, I would be a polytheist too, but both terms fall into the trap of "dualistic thinking".

I think Tibetean Buddhism might... they have many magical rituals and a magickal mindset. Check it out sometime!

Also, Tibetean Buddhism is more polytheistic than monotheistic IMO.

I agree 100% there! Sighris - who is into his own brand-new non-legitimate things. ;)
Your giant links are breaking my page format to the point where I can't even think about reading your post. May I suggest encapsulating them to a more manageable degree?

I chopped them up... I'm sorry about that. Please read my post now (if it is not against your Will) and let me know if it is better now (or not) but I am pretty sure it will be OK.
