I have been such an internet glutton today. It's first day I've had proper access to the web since leaving home and I've had so much I've wanted to check out. I've looked at the application process for the Masters of Publishing at USyd, jobs in both Sydney and Edinburgh, gym memberships back home, loaded some photos onto Facebook and much much more ( Read more... )

If you are a British subject, you do not need any other documentation to live & work and do whatever you fancy there. Plus, these days, if you can swing being British, you're a European citizen though I haven't travelled in Europe since it changed so i have no idea what that entails/negates.

A friend of mine is applying to university in the UK, including in Scotland and she's part of some online messageboard/comminuty where people ask all these sorts of questions, I can ask her where that is if you like?

Ah see the official sites are a bit vague about it and I wasn't too sure if having a British passport equaled being a British citizen or not.

That would be fantastic dude, thank you so much! You've been very helpful!

Heh, if you see i n my answer, I'm a bit vague on that too, but I think subject = passport.

If your dad's British and you're even considering going there regularly or for a long time, I'd get a passport. European/British citizenship is really tough to get just because you want it, so if you can get it, do it! :P
