proof that my victim-complex isn't just in my head

Two years ago a bunch of my Simpsons DVDs were stolen. The list of suspects was very short, and I believed it was my cousins because they were little brats, constantly watched those DVDs when they were over, and I had already suspected them of stealing my ipod the year before ( Read more... )

VINDICATION! Little fuckers, we need to send them some plague or something. You appear to have a shirtless Doctor in your mood...I am intrigued...

That's one of the reasons I don't like Australia. I have 2 bedroom fans which go full blast in the NZ summer.
When I was over there 11 years ago, it got up to 40 deg and I was paralysed. Delirious and had halloucinations!

Do you think beard guy likes you?

Now that's the forty million dollar question.

I don't know. I get the impression that he is really shy and/or keeps to himself. He wears a cap constantly, he usually doesn't make much small talk with the other staff members, he wears really ordinary sort of clothes [except for the suit sighting] and he only shaves once a month. So I don't think he is really used to someone paying him so much attention.

Either I make him feel ridiculously uncomfortable or he just doesn't realise.

What do you mean by awkward?

He came in this afternoon to pick up a book he ordered and he seemed to wait for me to serve him. I was at the counter in the last stages of serving a lady and he wandered over the counter but instead of going up to Heike or Shaylee who were both there he vaguely browsed the True Crime section which is right across from the counter. A few moments after the lady left he came over and I served him. We chatted about his day and what he was up to this week, and there was lots of eye contact.

But then, on the other hand, he doesn't appear to really look for me. He'll come into the store and browse the books and then say hello when I approach him but it doesn't seem like he looks around to see if I'm there.

You also have to realise that while this saga has been stretching over several months, it's only recently that I've started properly talking to him and sometimes there can be nearly two months between the times I see him.
