I had a complete stranger stop and ask me who'd done my henna! N did the other side of my hand too, which is wearing off a little quicker.
I was a little hesitant about accepting their invitation to drop by because I didn't want to butt in on a special occasion (though it is traditional for one's door to be open to friends and neighbours at Eid). But it went well, and S said that he was happy that I was friendly because not everyone in the building will say hello.
I haven't seen Linnea in a salwar kameez, but I'm sure that would be a very good sort of outfit for her -- practical and colourful.
Pretty. Some skin art just looks right, while some looks like decals that haven't washed off. That henna thing is the former. Perhaps it's to do with the years and years of tradition and development of the art, whereas a lot of western tattoos are the fashion of the year or decade at most. I saw an elderly woman on telly last night getting her chin tattooed - her granny had had it in the olden days and she was wanting to revive the tradition. It looked beautiful.

I must get a string for the waist of Linnea's salwar kameez.
