Last week it was announced that we had one confirmed case of swine flu at our school. Maybe it was just as well that my boys were away for a good part of that time. The flu season in general has been so widespread here this year - I heard of one school near us who had 600 absent out of a total of 1500 students! \O/ We have one more week of term ( Read more... )

prison break, school holidays, staying well is hard work

It's going. lol.
Just working and working and did I mention I was working?
5 weeks left of this and then off to sunny California I shall go!! Hard to believe its almost here. Still not sure where exactly I'm staying but I think I have a job lined up with a Lane Bryant store which makes me feel a lot less anxious. Still feeling a bit anxious tho. I should know more in the next couple of weeks.

And Thank You Sarah! Isnt Abby just so gorgeous? My mom says those pics dont do her justice I guess cause she is 100% even more Gorgeous in the flesh.. lol.
My mom is back in Iowa right now till the end of the month playing "Grandma" and she is loving it. I guess for the first 2 days she was there she wouldn't let anyone hold her.. mom held Abby nonstop. lol.

*hugs you*

Hello, darling. *g*

I know what you mean about PB -- I hadn't watched S1 for a long, long time and seeing those eps over the weekend made me get all nostalgic; then I got a little melancholy about how it ended up. *sigh* I even went back and read some of my old fanfic from those days, and the Lincoln from my fic still matched the Lincoln I was seeing in S1. Can't say that was the case by the time we got to late S3 through to S4. They were good times, Maureen and I still miss them. *clings tightly to you too*

We're managing to stay reasonably healthy - a few coughs here and there but no swine-related germs, so far!

I'll be enjoying the last week before school's out while I can - naturally, the Trophy Wife within is making sure she gets all her personal maintenance appts done this week, too! LOL. I have priorities. *g*

What's on for the week for you?

Oh, absolutely, no regrets. And I truly mean that. I can't imagine my life without all of you in it! Besides, if I hadn't started watching, I would never have begun writing again and that would be sad. I get so much enjoyment and creative release from it; it would be a shame not to have that.

LOL - there's been no french-kissing happening here lately, darling! Only in my mind. *g*

I didn't know you went to voice lessons. You are a woman of many varied talents, are you not? And OMG - the 25th is not far away!! You must be so excited, lol -- you'll have the time of your life, honey. :)

Hey lady!

*pops Vit. C with you* Swine Flu? Been there, done that, pigs might fly, etc *g*. There seems a lot of Aus germs around at the moment, innit? It's like we need to all wear masks in public places and stay in our air bubbles.

Hope you're enjoying your last week of freedom, love, lol. We are into Tuesday of the final week and STILL battling teh_ailments! *sigh*

Season One of PB was great, yep. Pity about the final gift for fans, eh?

Love to you and the boys

Looks like I spoke too soon about Harry being back at school - I've just come back from picking him up -- seemed okay in the morning but after recess had apparently become a tad warm and was coughing. Lots. *facepalm* You always feel like *such* a bad parent when that happens, don't ya? He was fine this morning...

I'm still good though! LOL *clings to that*

At least he waited until after my nail appointment this morning to get sick, lol.

So you STILL have teh_ ailments at Chez Spleen? *sigh* At least you have a chance of getting everyone WELL before the next term starts! *fingers crossed*

'The Final Gift for the Fans' is an oxymoron... or wait, maybe that's TPTB. They're just morons. *still bitter, apparently* LOL

Yes, you feel terrible when you've sent them and they are 'return to sender' from school...whoops.

I've just had small girl at the docs with a mysterious rash post-viral???????????

WTF is happening in this house *doses them up with cod liver oil* She's getting better, but it's very slow.

*sighs*

*gives you wine*

*slurps wine at 2.29pm* Just joking

Hugs for you and harry.

Oh goodness... post viral rash?? All that viral stuff has to leave the body somehow, I suppose. Better out than in, maybe?*sigh* Harry has been absolutely fine this arvo - of course - once we got home, I gave him some panadol, wiped his nose and fed him. Since then he has been lying on the floor with a blanket and happily watching dvds. *rolls eyes*

*grabs glass*

It's 5 o'clock somewhere isn't it? LOL.

Lots of love to you all xx

They certainly had it all 'going on' in Season One. It is wonderful from whoa to go. I've got some more washing to fold this afternoon so I'm going to watch some more, lol! Passes the time quite nicely. :)

I'm still germ-free and intend to stay that way, if I can help it!
