Prison Break mutterings...

*jaw drops*

You have GOT to be fucking kidding me.

If you just heard a piercing scream in your part of the world, it was me. I'm speechless, and that's NOT in a good way. *cries*

FFS... why, Karen Usher?? Was that plot device really necessary?

Hopefully I'll be more coherent tomorrow... 'cause right now, I'm just pissed. :(

wtf?, prison break, lincoln

I'd love to chat but I have to go to bed as we're up early for rugby tomorrow but am sure once we're back I'll need time to debrief... in about 15-16 hours from now, if you're around! *curses time difference*

I don't have problems with ALL of it, mainly the Lincoln stuff... but I'm sure you knew that. *sigh* If it makes you feel any better, I thought SWC/Sara was outstanding as usual.

*takes some deep breaths* LOL.

Ah, TV... either love it or hate it, hey?

You are so sweet, hon.

I just can't see the point in going down this road so late in the game - it's like they've thrown away all canon from earlier seasons and are now making it up as they go along.

I'm a reasonable person; I don't expect that much from my shows -- and I can look past plot holes that would fit mack trucks with the best of them, but forgetting basic stuff like Linc's eye colour and disregarding earlier information, like Linc being there for Christina at the 'end' at the hospital every day, watching her slowly die just flies in the face of her professed 'non-connection' with Lincoln. *grumps*

I haven't managed to fanwank this whole scenario in my own head as yet, and tbh, don't know if it's possible.

I know, Sarah. I had the same first reaction. But after watching it again, I'm thinking that this brother thing doesn't have to change a thing: Michael and Linc's relationship goes deeper than blood anyway.

Still, why this device was necessary? I don't know.

Okay, I've slept on it and just came back from reading the entire Rewatch thread (more than 500 comments, OMG!) but I still have a few issues.

Granted, there was aspects that I *did* like but the whole 'Lincoln's not your brother' thing still annoys the crap out of me - not to mention I was exactly like Candy and screamed at my laptop 'Lincoln's eyes are BLUE, FFS!!!' when Christina said they were green. *sigh*

I am planning to be at the Rewatch on Tuesday, so I'm looking forward to sharing another run-through with everyone. *g*

I think if they just did the unbelievable thing once: Brought Sara back from the dead, we'd be fine. I mean, there were definitely people who left the show over that, but then you couple that with all the other crap that's gone on this season--Bellick's send off that was really Wade Williams' send off, making Linc a murderer before the Steadman incident, making Christina alive, and a really bad person, and then on top of that making Linc and Mike not brothers--well it just all becomes so soap operaish I want to vomit.

It's ridiculous.

I'm very disappointed they chose this storyline for Michael & Lincoln -- I just can't see the point, it just seems like really lazy, and merely for shock value, writing. :(

After reading through the Rewatch thread this morning I also see you were just as pissed as I over the Linc's eye colour mistake. I mean, come ON! That's just sloppy -- and besides which, doesn't prove anything definitive anyway.

There was so much stuff that had potential written in big letters all over it that the writers let fall to the wayside (Aldo and Jane being two characters that immediately spring to mind) which could have solved a number of plotline problems they seem to be facing now.

All we need now is for Aldo to miraculously appear alive and well (because they really buried Aldo's twin, M&L's secret uncle). He arrives just in time to whack his crazy ex-wife and end her shot at World Domination in Cream before living happily ever after with his sons, biological AND adopted. /sarcasm.

Thanks, Nicole. *g*

It's crazy how a television show can make you see red at times, hey? :) I feel it's a little disrespectful to the characters of Michael and Lincoln, and the FANS to introduce a plotline like that.

While I agree, Michael and Lincoln's ties to each other run far, far deeper than blood making this so-called revelation unimportant in the overall scheme of things, it just reeks of sloppy and sensationalist writing, and IMHO, is so pointless.

I didn't even watch the episode, but I heard and believe me, there was a small volcanic eruption in pamalax's journal.

I popped over there for a look earlier, Cody. This whole 'not-brothers' revelation is so ridiculous; my muse is in major denial, I can't even fanwank it right now!

Honestly, I never thought I'd see the day when we'd see a plotline like THAT.

It feels like a cheap plot twist, which is something I've been hating the show for since season 2.
