I've been running molten core for well, well over a year now. ZG since shortly after it came out.
BWL a fair number of times, although we always seem to lose people to school start times and server performance once we start beating on firemaw (current progress: down to 10%. And that was WITH half the raid eating a rogue shadowflame.)
Anyway. After all that raiding?
6/8 arcanist (although I only wear 3/8 as 'normal' gear) Only just got a decent MH last week. Got my first +dmg trinket two weeks ago. Only reason I have a decent offhand is because I obtained one via PVP rewards.
Just pushing 400 fire damage right now.
Although we have warlocks who walk out of their first ever MC runs with 5/8 felheart (srsly, not exaggerating).
The drop rates on some stuff is pretty skewed. We have enough cenarion drop for a steady supply of nexus. The drop rate of felheart/nemesis is nearly as bad (a lock asked last night when doing Ony if she could have a second nemesis helm for a resist enchant!).
We have been getting Nef down for around 2 months now, and so far a mage, lock, priest and 2 warriors have their full tier 2 sets. The rogues and shamen have hardly any tier 2 stuff from BWL.
I have 6/8 arcanist, though I only wear it if I need resists these days. Never bothered taking the bracers, and no need for the shoulders now I have the Enigma shoulders from AQ40.
BWL has some good drops, but as a mage I hate the lab packs. Only managed to get through them once or twice without any deaths. Being able to iceblock until healed up to full while the fire mages all drop is nice :) The ones past firemaw are just as bad.
Sure is! I spent as little time as possible in STV this time around, and did very few of the Hillsbrad quests. Swiftrat likes to go there on a regular basis to gank allies on her rogue.
