I liked it ! It gave ME comfort, and a sense of ...closure ? But, did I understood correctly, Jake doesn't remember anything when he wakes up ? Well, at least he has beautiful dreams...

Right... In Alone, when Heath comes to Jake towards the very end of his life, Jake complains that H. abandoned him during his life. Heath didn't tell him then, but he didn't abandon him, just stayed out of his consciousness. He visited his dreams often. :)
