Oh, boy - if I didn't know for sure J&E were still happily together after 60 years (!), I would've gotten really worried there. I really hope neither one of the boys ever cheated; I'm glad Ennis put a stop to Jack's infatuation with that boy.

I do not think you're "intolerant", Tammy.
I've always tought that trust and honesty are the most important things in a relationship.
When I read stories about secret lovers and secret relationships I can forgive Jack or Ennis, 'cause they're human and everyone can make mistakes in this life.
But when it comes to RL, I admit I'm not such a forgivin person.
If you say you love someone you have to be faithful in my opinion. It's only fair.
And if you're not, then you lose your chance and the trust of the person you love.
Maybe I'm naive, or possessive (my mom says I am, lol) I don't know.
Just my opinion.
I guess I can tolerate unfaithfulness in fanfics, as long as it's "a phase" and Jack and Ennis still love each other, but in real life I can't. :)

Well, the beginning made me just bloody sob!! The whole part about Ennis just helping Jack and doing what was required of him without complaint, and them breaking down just killed me!!

I liked this:

And you NEEDED to put something in about your spanking kink :)

But I didn't like the part about Jack and the boy.. No siree.. Not at all.. Poor Ennis...

(PS - MY Ennis cooked for me and has decided that I can come upstairs to finish my reading while he washes the dishes and cleans up- he's up to something)...

PS2 - I don't think I have EVER read a fic with 2 x epilogues... I LIKE your style :)
