Saying goodbye is hard

My elderly lady cat Gracie had been diagnosed with kidney disease a little while back, and while we were able to keep her going with SQ fluids and some medication and a special diet, we knew we didn't have much time with her left. Sadly, a couple of days ago she abruptly went downhill and we knew it was time

Sorry I haven't picked up this news before - don't get onto LJ much these days. I'm very sorry to hear about your kitty, but so relieved that you've responded so well to making the awful decision. Sounds like she found some great owners, who did their very best for her, right up to the end. You should hold your heads up high and be proud of what you gave her through the years, and what she gave you, in return.
