Christmas cookie fest

Went over to a friend's house and baked four kinds of cookies. They mostly came out ok, but none came out quite as awesome as we had hoped. My coconut macaroons were probably the biggest success - really tasty, but turned out shaped like odd little sombreros. Russian teacakes are my favorite. They are basically butter, ground walnuts, and powdered sugar. They are so damn good.

I would also recommend Russian tea cakes. I'm going to a baking party Sunday and specifically requested we make them. They are so easy. ~Kate-h
